This will be my last post on the devotional experiment series. Thanks for being a part of the journey! Wishing you all the best in 2016…may you see the best in others and speak life into them no matter what. Give yourself a big break, laugh, live in the moment and enjoy this beautiful life He has created for all of us!
“Your testimony speaks louder than your knowledge and abilities. Live out what you believe in Me. Proclaim my truths and and the grace you have received by how you live your life. Your actions will give substance to what I am imparting to you. Dedicate your life to me, not to the vapor of this earth. Spread my salvation by worshipping Me with your life. Let your joy reflect the mercy and grace I have bestowed on you. Your life and joy in Me is powerful. When you come alive you have the power within you to save, raise up and to rescue those who have died in their spirit. You have the power to love alive those that are hurting and broken. Bring them my love and my life.”
Promise 36: Thank you for promising to carry us close to Your heart (Isaiah 40:11)
Lord my desire is to experience Your power in my life and become a vessel of spiritual awakening and revival. I surrender my heart to you and I desire to be your vessel of righteousness, holiness and love. Father my desire is to see others the way You see them and to love them the way you love them.
Promise 37: Thank you for promising to always take us in, no matter how many times we are rejected. (Psalm 27:10) My desire is to show others that there’s always a place for them in Your heart.
“The powerful message we carry works in harmony with a practical demonstration of God’s love. Frequently, meeting a person’s need opens that person to hearing the truth.”
Lord I so desire to be filled with the same passion for others that You have for us. “This is not about what is comfortable or convenient. Don’t let the enemy tell you they don’t have time. This is about volition and salvation.”
Promise 38: Thank you for promising that You are the perfect Father. (Matthew 5:48)
My desire is not to look at myself but to look right at You. Thank you Jesus for showing us by your example how to live with passion and to love wit compassion. I ask for humility that I may consider others better than myself and come to understand more and more what your love requires. Thank you for loving us as you find us…who we are now and who we will become. Open our eyes to those in front of us…for the one who is broken and alone….for the one who is starving inside.
“I created you to enjoy this life. Relax and have fun and stop taking yourself so seriously.”
Lord my prayer is that Your love in me may about more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that I may be able to discern what is best. (Phillipians 1:9-10)
Promise 39: Thank you for promising that You will not let us fall, but that You will watch over us day and night (Psalm 121:3)
Lord I desire to abound more and more in your love so that I will know in my heart what You want me to do and I trust You to do what only You can do. I want to carry Your glory, no matter the cost. Father I ask for sufficient courage to look right into the storm I am facing and see heaven’s provision. I ask for enough courage to drink the cup I am called to drink, to leave my impossible burdens to Jesus. No my will, but Yours be done, Lord.
“But the seed has to be buried deep in the ground before the fruit has a change to take hold. Before the harvest is ready, the fields look bare. All the life is hidden, ready to be revealed, ready to be released – in His time.” (Heidi Baker, Reckless Devotion) There’s a whole world inside of us…just waiting to come alive.
“I will forget what lies behind – all the sin, all my mistakes, every time when I did something stupid – and I will press on, looking forward to the prize, headed towards victory.”
“Step into my rest. Don’t strive. Don’t struggle. Don’t try to be someone or something you’re not. Just be still and allow me to be your Father. Allow me to truly love you and speak to you. I am redeeming you and preparing you to build testimony through your own family. You are called to be a light shining through the Christ-like love and unity displayed through you and your family. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it.”
Promise 40: Thank you for promising to finish the good works that You began. Thank you for promising to be faithful to us. Thank you for dying, Jesus, so that we could live like you live.
