Amplify Austin: Help Casa Marianella

Categories Uncategorized

For the past 2 years, I have been volunteering as an ESL teacher at Casa Marianella and have enjoyed every moment. Casa provides shelter and hope to hundreds of refugees, immigrants, and asylees from across the globe. The people at Casa are very close to my heart, and I hope you will join me in donating this year to help spread awareness and hope for residents.

Every year 400 homeless immigrants find a warm, safe bed, abundant nutritious food, access to medical and mental heath care, English classes and the case management that helps them reclaim their independence. Casa’s shelters are clusters of renovated houses in residential neighborhoods in East Austin: one cluster for adults and another cluster (Posada Esperanza) for women and children escaping domestic or cultural violence. 84% leave Casa Marianella for self-sufficiency. In addition to the direct service Casa provides, Casa presents a model of best practices for new shelters around the U.S.

Casa Marianella’s services for refugees over their past 30 years could not have been possible with out the help of donations. With your help, we can continue to spread hope and love in 2016!
