At the Father’s House, everyone is welcome to join the family. Johan + Marie Fourie have been called by the Lord into ministry and empowered by many anointed men of God through prophetic words. They are obediently following the Lord’s dream for their lives and for His people. They have stepped out of the boat and onto the water. They have a vision to heal hearts through family and to empower and release disciples of all nations through their ministry school. There is one body here, with each member functioning as a part of His glory.
The opportunity to serve as a staff member at the Father’s House school was a privilege. Once arriving in Robertson, South Africa, I almost immediately felt like a part of the family. The school structure includes worship and classes in the mornings and practical missions in the afternoons. The afternoon outreaches included visiting the local orphanage, creche (kindergarten), hospital and townships/villages as well as helping with a kids program for the neighboring farm children.
I am thanking God for this incredible opportunity to be a part of a self giving community and to learn more about His character through experiences and through His word. As I reflect on the past couple of months, there are a few insightful “take aways” that come to mind:
1. Studying symbolism in the tabernacle: Transition from the outer court to the inner court, and from there enter into the holy of holies. Every day. Receive His fresh bread. I believe in our faith walk, we shouldn’t be operating from any other place. Living from the outer, or even the inner court is like trying to follow God’s will through the flesh. It is only when we enter into the secret place (the holy of holies) that we begin to manifest His presence, to operate the way He does and to pour out into those around us. At this point, I don’t even think words are necessary. The presence of His love is enough to shift an atmosphere, to transform a heart.
2. Re-awakening dreams and working towards vision: Dreams don’t drive you, they draw you. Like a magnet. Your dream is your life message. The world needs your dream. Don’t let your dream die. Don’t settle for second best. Step out and step into what God has for you.
Focus on what has eternal value. What does your dream give others? You need your dream, the body needs your dream. It’s your promised land. With your dream you can become unstoppable.
Decide what is really important in life. Motivate others to step out. Don’t waste time. Eliminate non-essentials to succeed. Be intentional. Invest your life in what will outlast you.
3. Knowing that love is the highest demonstration of sacrifice: Jesus has shown us this love by laying down His life so what we may live. When we live in Him and He in us, we change from self-living to giving of ourselves. Glory = continual sacrifice. Listening and obeying. By knowing Him and His words, we abide in Him. When we know and experience His love, that’s when we can love Him in return. It cannot be self-generated love.
We must come to a point where we actually do believe He is more than enough. We manifest sonship by overcoming, by walking in the light transparently. Drinking deeply from the fountain of life. Having no fear of death but being willing to lay down our lives for His sake. He doesn’t hide it from us, He hides it for us. Search for His mysteries like hidden treasure.
“… so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God, that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make know what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ. For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me.”
